Is a fanfic story I plan to start here soon.
My story begins when Carrie and her party board Titanic at Cherbourg, as they are disembarking off of Nomadic, the tender, and walking up the gangway. Lightoller and Murdoch are seen at the door, welcoming the passengers onboard the ship...when the latter spots Carrie making her way up the gangway. For him, a married man with no children to call his own, it is a case of love at first sight when he spots the pretty blonde blue-eyed American lass with the cute snub nose.
For Carrie, she is a single 25-year-old young lady, with an almost 4-year-old wee lad, Cody Little Wind, her unofficially adopted son. She, is looking for someone who will want both her and her son. Hence, as that saying goes--East is east, West is west, and the twain did meet aboard Titanic. 
Both Will & Carrie have fathers; Captains Samuel Murdoch & John King, whom had commanded their own vessels. The former by sea, and the latter by river. Captain King, like Captain Smith, have encountered ice fields that have floated south from their northern origins. Therefore, Carrie recognizes the seriousness for which Captain Smith is about to place Titanic in, when Harold Bride hands him the first iceberg warning. But for now, I am getting ahead of myself.
